Undocumented/DACAmented students on-campus and nationwide are enduring imminent threat to their livelihood and individual futures. A weekly safe gathering at The Memorial Church will provide opportunity for undocumented/DACAmented Harvard students to process the cumulative effects of this toll on their emotional health and that of their families and communities. Through the lenses of narrative therapy students will create a brave space to discuss how current events and social constructs of race, class, and gender shape their identity as undocumented students. Participants will share their own narratives while challenging the dominant discourse of oppression.
The weekly gatherings will take place from 5:00pm to 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings at Memorial Church through the Fall and Spring semesters. It will be facilitated by Carolina González, LICSW, CAMHS Clinical Social Worker.
Co-sponsored by the Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Harvard College and by Counseling and Mental Health Services (CAMHS) at University Health Services. If you have any questions, please email diversity@fas.harvard.edu or cgonzalez@huhs.harvard.edu
