With support from the Office of the President, the [Harvard Representation Initiative](https://harvardimmigrationclinic.org/hri/) (HRI), located within Harvard Law School’s [Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinical Program](https://harvardimmigrationclinic.org), prioritizes legal counsel and representation on immigration matters for members of the Harvard University community who are undocumented or DACAmented, have or are entitled to Temporary Protected Status, are from countries to which they are afraid to return, or are College students from mixed-status families. HRI can provide referrals for employment-based visa inquiries. Members of the Harvard University community present on nonimmigrant visas, such as F-1s or J-1s, looking for advice and assistance on matters relating to their current or future visa status should contact the Harvard International Office.

It is recommended that members of the Harvard community reach out to HRI to set up an individual consultation, as every case is different. You can reach the HRI at:

## Harvard Representation Initiative

HRI also offers social work support to all clients as part of their legal representation. The social work team can offer support with a variety of concerns, such as stress management, health insurance problems, financial concerns, or food and housing challenges. It is a safe place to discuss feelings of fear or hopelessness about your future and immigration status.

HRI's emergency cell phone number is **857-242-6755**. Calls to the hotline will be directed to the on‐call attorney, who can provide legal counsel and other assistance on time-sensitive matters. If you have questions or concerns that are not time‐sensitive, please call Maira Peralta at 617‐495‐6648 to arrange an appointment.

If members of the Harvard community would like to pursue legal assistance through other avenues, here is a list of [local resources](https://harvardimmigrationclinic.org/resources/).
